Believing In Ourselves Is A Matter Of Will

Believing in ourselves is a matter of will

If  you  do not, no one will do it. Believing in ourselves is not about pride, but about dignity. We need it to be able to trust our own decisions, not to be afraid that things will go wrong and to get up every time we fall.

To believe in ourselves is to love ourselves with courage, with the knowledge that we deserve better.

Believing in ourselves ” may just remind you of self-help books. But these words are popular for a reason. The reason is that it is very difficult for people to trust their abilities and reach their potential.

If so, it’s mainly because of how we build our internal reality. Starting when we are children, we shape our self-image based on the stimuli we receive and how we interpret it. Depending on what others say or project on us, our identity will be strong or weak.

Believing in ourselves is not easy, and our surroundings are not very helpful. Relying on our abilities is not easy when we focus more on our failures than overcoming them.

Projecting a strong, courageous sense of identity is difficult if we have been taught to focus more on what others do, say and think.

Girl with heart

We are so unaware of our own thoughts, attitudes and reasoning. But they are who we are. They either limit or give us power. They are what ultimately influence how we feel and behave.

The art of believing in ourselves is truly an exercise in will. The will is almost like a muscle, which is trained with certain thoughts. This in turn leads to prosperous and personal growth. But it is not easy to think positively and confidently when we have low self-esteem and our lives are full of apathy and frustration.

It seems that  our parents and schools have forgotten to teach us to believe in ourselves. Instead, they taught us to be like everyone else. They taught us that “normalcy” is to think and behave like everyone around us.

We must dilute our individuality and make ourselves “ordinary” – no one special. The reason for this is that  uniqueness means that you are different. And being “different” means not fitting in. It is disharmony in a world that loves the predictable.

Man with deficient self-image

But it is time to remember something that is actually quite elementary. We are not manufactured on a conveyor belt; we are completely unique, exceptional and unpredictable.

We are created with unique fingerprints, our own individual personality and different physical traits that are different from everyone else. We are born to leave our mark on this world, and this can only be done if we believe in ourselves and our own potential.

Believing in ourselves is something we should all do. No one should leave her home in the morning without the confidence and conviction that she can do anything. If we look at it as  the psychology of the will,  there are a series of tips we can use for just this:

Start on a new ball

We do it with our computers and other electronic devices. There is nothing better than restoring your mobile phone or computer to make it work faster and more efficiently. But first we need to know which files to keep and which to delete.

To believe in ourselves, we must get rid of certain inherited attitudes. We are often our own worst enemies by underestimating and comparing ourselves to others. Let’s erase these unhelpful perspectives and start over.

To reach a goal, we must first believe in ourselves. But the psychology of the will will remind us that  great things are achieved by first winning the small victories,  as Confucius said.

Before we set unattainable goals  , we must therefore work with small, daily challenges. They will give us confidence and a more positive self-image. Let us dare to make difficult decisions. It’s time to step out of your comfort zone. Let us tackle our uncertainties slowly but surely.

Woman climbing mountains

If you want to believe in yourself, you have to be yourself. Wherever you go, do not lose your essence; do not forget your values and passions. Let your essence guide each step.

Do not be afraid of what others may think. Be yourself all the time, no matter where you are, it’s not always easy. We must train our will with daily effort. Only then can we become confident.

Although we may never have control over what life throws in our direction,  can  we control how we react to it. If we believe in ourselves, the difficulties will be easier to deal with and the mountains will not be as high. It’s something to think about…
