The Fantastic Magic Of The First Times

The fantastic magic of the first times

What is it about the first times we love so much? What makes this so special? That magic and those butterflies in the stomach when we do not know what will happen… when something new happens. That’s the magic of the first few times.

The first job, the first date, the first visit to a new city, the first time you see a new movie. All these situations involve a new experience – and also a certain uncertainty. They can make us feel many different things, such as fear and doubt. They can also make us feel positive things, like motivation, surprise and so much more.

When we confront something for the first time, we set up a mental plan and decide what our goals are. We think about how it will be, what will happen, what it will give us. And this turns on an engine within us that propels us forward and motivates us to show others the best side of ourselves.

The first few times are like looking at thousands of doors and not knowing where they lead, but you open them anyway. If you can overcome that first fear, you will be able to overcome your obstacles and discover new horizons. The first times are full of magic, because you will continue to move forward even when you do not know what will happen.

This is where the magic is. When you know what will happen at work or when you meet someone you know you will be with, or when you know how the meeting will go at work today, you lose a little of that hope that you had during the first times. As Rafael Santandreu says, if you want to confront situations with an open mind as you do during the first few times, you will be able to discover something new every day with the same hope.

Think of the exchange students studying a semester abroad. When the semester begins, they find themselves in a classroom with new people. A new city to discover and explore. They have high hopes that the year will be fun and interesting. As the months go by, part of the unknown now becomes known, and the date of the journey home is approaching.

We no longer see all the experiences we could have in the places we are used to. The city you live in always has corners that you do not yet know. There are thousands of things you have not discovered, people you have not met. But if you can regain that magic from the first times and use it to face the day, you will be able to regain that power.

The hope and magic from the first times does not lie in the situations themselves, but in the attitude you have. It is we ourselves who create the magic. So why not get up every day and recreate the magic from the first time?

In every day, the magic of not knowing what will happen is hidden. But if we move forward and are focused on what we already know, if we do not hope every day that everything will get better, then we will not be able to see the miracles that occur every day. We may know how the day will begin, but we do not know how it will end.

Those first times also come with fears and doubts. However, we may learn something from them and get new tools that will help minimize our uncertainties so that we can continue to improve.

Let’s create a new day full of those first times. Let’s take the positive from every opportunity. We have the power to create magic and live as if it were always that first time, and with a passion as if it were the last. Let’s keep those butterflies in our stomachs and the smile of uncertainty, even if it’s the third, fourth or tenth time.
