Perseverance Is The Food Of Dreams

Perseverance is the food of dreams

Nothing in the world can function as an exchange for perseverance, not even talent. It is the quality that makes a person’s character lasting. The virtue that goes hand in hand with fulfilled dreams. Perseverance is the food of dreams and a bridge between our conscious mind and our unconscious. It is a direct bridge to success, which of course also depends on other variables such as intelligence and will.

It is normal that it takes time for you to achieve your goals. There are always obstacles in the way, but as we develop our perseverance, we will find alternatives and begin to see obstacles as opportunities. We will change perspectives and develop the ability to learn from it.

We often have the tools to achieve our goals, but we do not succeed because we lack willpower or perseverance. According to science, exercise will reduce the number of negative impulses from 70% to 17%.

A study carried out by the psychologist Wilhelm Hofmann showed that when people immediately give in to impulses, they do so around 70% of the time. When they resist, they only give in to the impulses 17% of the time. In other words, the willpower will remove over 80% of the unwelcome impulses according to Hofmann.

A lack of will means that when we have to make a decision, we only think about the current benefits. We do not think about the consequences and we do not look beyond our instincts.

Falls and crises can not be avoided. Our problems, no matter how many we have, are opportunities for personal development. They motivate us to acquire resources and skills to find solutions. Many times they are also what takes us out of our comfort zone and gives us inevitable changes that we had never given ourselves voluntarily.

To deal with these situations, we must therefore learn to interpret the problems as an opportunity rather than a problem. The best management mechanisms are the ones that make us find the causes of the problem and see which ones we can do something about.

The only thing we can really control is how we respond to difficulties. Every time we respond positively and constructively, we become stronger. We succeed in responding to our future problems and crises better. Epictetus, a philosopher of the Stoic school, wrote: “Circumstances do not make man, they only show him who he is.”

One of the great secrets to success is to teach our senses to endure and that perseverance is the food of dreams. As we move toward our goals, there will be things in our path. They make us want to give up. But do not give up! Then we make a conscious decision not to give up… it is the secret that makes our dreams come true.

Having the courage to resist when faced with adversity and disappointment is often what makes you successful in the end. A good channeled willpower can be very rewarding. But the “channeled” part is very important. There will be some battles that it is better to let go because the energy is better spent elsewhere.

If we want to make our dreams come true, we must become people who learn the will to obey our conscious decisions. To move forward no matter how many, what type or how big our obstacles are. We will always find a way to move forward and meet our goals. Perseverance is the food of dreams!
