What factors affect our well-being?

Well-being is a complex ecosystem. By “ecosystem” we mean that there are several factors that work together to influence how we feel. And each has its own effect and intensity. Well-being is a term we often hear, but we do not always know exactly what “feeling well” really means. This indicates that we do not actually know what affects our well-being!

Our well-being normally consists of six different factors. These are the following: emotional, intellectual, professional, physical, social and spiritual factors. Each of these factors can improve or worsen our lives depending on what happens in each of them, which is why they are so important to our well-being.

Even if we do not realize it, all of these factors or variables play different roles in our lives. We need to be careful because we may think that our well-being is based on only one or two of them. You usually only pay attention to the parts that most worry or please you. However, we must realize that they all work together. Together, they help either enrich or deprive our lives. Let’s analyze each one in more detail.

Our well-being and the emotional factor

This factor has to do with recognizing and accepting their feelings. It includes the ability to reason consistently with oneself and be aware of one’s own strengths and limitations.
